Historical Association Lecture: 5 December 2015

Our  programme continues on 5th December 2015 at 2.30pm, Trinity Methodist Church, Rainsford Road, Chelmsford, CM1 2XB with a talk by Professor Nigel Saul entitled 'Ten things everyone ought to know about Magna Carta.'

Nigel Saul is a recently retired Professor of Medieval History at Royal Holloway, University of London and former member of Magna Carta 800 Committee. His latest publication was For Honour and Fame, Chivalry in England 1066-1500, and  he was the historical consultant for BBC4’s 'Chivalry and Betrayal: the Hundred Years War' series.  Recognised as a leading expert in the history of medieval England, he has also written a renowned biography  Richard II (Yale 1997).
