The redundant St Mary's Church, Stansted Mountfichet, is one of eleven churches in the care of The Churches Conservation Trust (see http://www.visitchurches.org.uk/Ourchurches/Completelistofchurches/Church-of-St-Mary-the-Virgin-Stansted-Mountfitchet-Essex/ ). In February 2009 the Charity celebrated its fortieth anniversary and in a special weekend of celebrations a 'Quarter Peal' was rung.
