The Essex Society for Archaeology and History makes something of a homecoming on 12 October when it hold its annual Morant Lunch once again at the Red Lion in Colchester's High Street. Our after dinner speaker this year is Dr L J F Ashdown-Hill (better perhaps known as leader of genealogical research and historical
advisor to the ‘Looking for Richard’ project). His talk is on The Colchester Franciscan
Priory (Greyfriars).
