MUSEUMS ESSEX

Museums Essex is the new charitable organisation for museums, galleries and heritage organisations in Essex. The aim of Museums Essex is to encourage and support the professional development, collections care and interpretation of all museums across Essex for the public benefit.

The advantages of becoming a member of Museums Essex include:

• Enable funding of the Essex Museum Development Officer post to support all museums in the county including help with Accreditation

• Small Grants Scheme

• A voice for Essex museums in the region and nationally

• A network of museums to share advice and information including funding

• A forum to develop local training opportunities with SHARE and other organisations

• Priority user membership of Harwell Documentation Restoration Service

• Free access to touring exhibition scheme by Epping Forest District Museums

• Website for Museums Essex members

• Membership fee based on size of organisation

Fees

 The following membership fees are for a full Museums Essex financial year based on gross unrestricted income (excluding grants):

£50: Income less than £10,000 per annum

£75: Income £10,000 - £50,000 per annum

£100: Income £50,000 - £150,000 per annum

£200: Income over £150,000 per annum
