'Catch Me Who Can': Whatever happened to Richard Trevithick

Professor Robin Smith is a social scientist, formerly head of University of Northumbria Campus , Carlisle, and previously at Durham , and also former chairman of the Locomotion Trust.
Richard Trevithick was one of the greatest inventors and pioneers during the early phases of the industrial revolution.  'Catch Me Who Can' was the first ever steam locomotive to run in London .  How has Trevithick's legacy been eclipsed by George Stephenson?  And what was the fate of Trevithick?
