The Essex Society for
Archaeology and History has confirmed that the final day of operation in its
current book storeroom will end on Saturday 14 December 2013 when volunteers relocate
a small proportion of its stock to a new room half its size. We are writing off several back numbers of
our ‘Transactions’, all offprints, all Newsletters and all ‘Feet of Fines’ copies
for the county. (Contents lists for each of the Transactions may be found on http://www.blackmorehistory.co.uk/esah.html
and http://www.esah160.blogspot.co.uk
).
The last and only day for visitors
to the storeroom will be Saturday 14 December.
Orders can be taken in advance but must be collected that day or
posted. An appointment will need to be
made with Andrew Smith, Hon Deputy Librarian of the Society (via http://www.esah160.blogspot.co.uk
) for that day. No one from the Society will
be on duty after this date.
Members may have books for
free, taking surplus books to their own local history societies or groups to
add to their libraries or sell as wished.
Non-members may purchase
Transactions for £2 each. Copies before
1960 will be £1 each. Feet of Fines,
50p. Newsletters and Offprints, 10p
each. These lower rates apply for
collection only.
Alternatively visit our Online Bookshop for prices etc.
We look forward to seeing you.
