Some Interesting Essex Brasses (5): Transactions n.s. Volume 10 Part 3
The final portion of an article written by Miller Christy, W W Porteous and E Bertram Smith for the Transactions of the Essex Archaeological Society in 1907. Brasses at Tollesbury, Tolleshunt D'Arcy and Walthamstow are included below.
Those interested in the topic may be interested to know that the same three authors wrote an item entitled 'The Monumental Brasses of Essex' for the book 'Memorials of Old Essex' (1908). Within the last decade a new two-volume book has been produced by Martin Stuchfield et al providing a definitive update of the early twentieth century work.

Some Interesting Essex Brasses (3): Transactions n.s. Volume 10 Part 3
In the third part of this article produced for the Transactions of the Essex Archaeological Society in 1907, and written by Miller Christy, W W Porteous and E Bertram Smith, the following brasses are discussed: Harlow, Harwich, Hempstead, High Ongar (two brasses), Hornchurch, Kelvedon Hatch, Leigh (two brasses), Little Horkesley, Little Leighs, Netteswell and Orsett.
